Borrowing books from Danish public libraries is free of charge but you will have to register before taking home books etc. You can join a library either in person or online. Simply create a PIN number when registering and use it when borrowing, reserving or renewing library books etc., and when checking which books you have borrowed and using other online library services. Your “sundhedskort” (medical card) serves as a library card so remember to bring it when borrowing books etc. Children and young people aged under 15 can be issued with a library card instead.
